IMPORTANT GROWN‑UPS SUPPORT

The adults around children and young people have the greatest opportunity to influence their participation, confidence and sense of belonging. At K+C Village, we work alongside those adults to build practical knowledge, confidence and strategies that create more inclusive environments where every child and young person can engage, participate and succeed. Rather than adding more to already busy days, we focus on realistic, evidence-informed approaches that can be embedded into everyday routines, helping build capacity and create lasting change where it matters most.

Your Pathway

You are already one of the most important people in a child’s everyday world. Our Playing and Learning Together Program is designed to support educators to feel more confident understanding and supporting the different ways children learn, regulate, communicate and participate.

Rather than adding “more” to your workload, we focus on practical, realistic strategies that can be embedded into everyday routines, play and learning experiences. Through training, coaching and collaboration within your setting, we work alongside educators to build inclusive environments where more children feel safe, connected, engaged and able to participate alongside their peers.

Schools are busy, complex environments and supporting diverse learners is becoming increasingly important. Our School-Based Services are designed to work alongside teachers, learning support teams and school leaders to help create learning environments where more students can participate, engage and succeed throughout the school day.

Rather than pulling students out unnecessarily, we focus on understanding how a student functions within the real classroom environment and building practical strategies that can be embedded into everyday teaching, routines and school life. Through collaboration, observation, coaching and shared problem-solving, we support education teams to build confidence, consistency and inclusive practices that help students feel more connected, regulated and successful at school.

Community clubs play such an important role in helping kids feel connected, confident and part of something bigger. We work alongside coaches, coordinators and activity leaders to help make sporting and recreational environments more inclusive, supportive and enjoyable for all children and young people.

Our focus is on practical, real-world strategies that help coaches feel more confident supporting different learning, communication and regulation needs within their teams and activities. Rather than focusing on “behaviour management,” we help create environments where more kids feel safe, included, capable and able to participate alongside their peers.

This might include support with things like adapting activities, helping children transition into programs, building social connection, supporting emotional regulation or navigating challenges that can come up during sport and recreation. The goal is simple – helping more kids stay involved, connected and successful within their community.

Workplaces play an important role in helping young people build confidence, independence and a sense of belonging as they move into adulthood. We work alongside employers, supervisors and workplace teams to help create supportive and inclusive work environments where diverse young people can succeed.

Our focus is on practical, real-world strategies that help workplaces feel more confident supporting different communication styles, learning needs, emotional regulation and workplace participation. Rather than expecting young people to simply “fit in,” we help workplaces build environments and routines that support success, confidence and positive workplace experiences for everyone involved.

This might include support with onboarding, communication strategies, workplace routines, managing transitions, building independence, supporting confidence and navigating challenges that may arise in the workplace. The goal is to help young people feel capable, included and successful in their first work experiences, while helping employers build stronger and more inclusive teams.

Sometimes parenting does not need “therapy”, it just helps to have someone in your corner who understands kids and can help you figure out what might actually work. Our Parent Game Plan Program is designed for parents who want a bit of support, guidance and practical ideas for the tricky moments that come with raising children.

It is like having access to a knowledgeable, supportive person who can help make sense of behaviour, routines, emotions and everyday challenges, while sharing realistic strategies that fit real family life. In just a few sessions, we help parents feel more confident, less overwhelmed and better equipped to support their child at home and in the community.
